![]() It makes me curious: why are so many people working through Docker (and there are many, many posts of people having trouble configuring their preferred torrent client through it) instead of using Download Station? Is there a benefit in terms of security or performance to using a Docker instance instead of Download Station? From what I've read, it uses Transmission as the underlying torrent engine, which is my preferred torrent client, as well. ![]() There's no easy way to set seeding to "forever" but you can set the seed ratio to be ridiculously high and remove the time limit. I downloaded Download Station, and at least a few hours in, it seems to be operating smoothly thus far. Tried Docker again, this time with a different client and got a bit farther, but still ran into trouble. I then went the Linux virtual machine route, and had a bit more luck but still began to run into issues. Initially I tried to go the Docker route, as that's what most people seemed to do, but got stuck very quickly. One usage for it will be to offload torrenting and seeding from my primary computer. I'm just about two weeks into ownership of my Synology NAS, and I am enjoying tinkering and setting it up. ![]()
